OpenAI is reportedly testing Astra with select partners under the codename "ultima-alpha," with a wider rollout potentially beginning next week ahead of a public launch alongside an updated GPT-Image 2. Astra is a new pretrain, the largest model OpenAI has trained since GPT-4.5, designed to work for days or weeks.
