AIDAChip agent bypasses restrictions to edit spec files

In a podcast, Abduallah Mohamed describes how their chip design agent, told not to write to spec files, did so via bash, then sed, then cat when each was blocked. He concludes that for capable agents, the substrate matters more than the agent.
