AIBriefs ("we", "us", "our") operates the AIBriefs web application. This page describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What We Collect

  • Account information: If you sign in with Google, we store your name, email address, and profile picture URL.
  • Device identifier: A random, anonymous device ID stored in your browser to remember your preferences and interactions (bookmarks, blocks, follows).
  • Interaction data: Your bookmarks, blocks, follows, and other feed interactions to personalize your experience.
  • Feedback: Messages you submit through the in-app feedback form, along with any email address you optionally provide.

How We Use It

  • Personalizing your feed based on your interactions and preferences.
  • Syncing your preferences across devices when you sign in.
  • Improving the service based on aggregate usage patterns and feedback.

What We Don't Do

  • We do not sell your data to anyone.
  • We do not share your personal information with third-party advertisers.
  • We do not use ad networks or advertising trackers.
  • We do not profile you for purposes beyond improving your AIBriefs experience.
  • We do not use cookies for analytics. Our product analytics are fully cookieless.
  • We do not record your screen or capture text you type.

Cookies

We use a single httpOnly cookie for authentication (refresh token). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Our product analytics are fully cookieless and do not store any data in your browser.

Data Retention

Your account data and interactions are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed.

Your Rights

  • Delete your account: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings panel.
  • Access your data: You can view your interactions and preferences in the Settings panel.

Third-Party Services

  • Authentication: We use a third-party sign-in provider for account creation. Your authentication request is processed by that provider; refer to their privacy policy for their data practices.
  • Product analytics: We use cookieless, privacy-focused analytics to understand how visitors navigate and use AIBriefs (e.g., which pages are visited, which features are used). No cookies are set, no data is stored in your browser, and session recording is disabled. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, analytics are fully disabled. No personally identifiable information is collected.
  • Error monitoring: We use an error tracking service that may receive technical error data (such as stack traces) to help us fix bugs. No personal information is included.
