Anthropic to charge usage-based fees for Claude Fable 5

Starting July 12, Anthropic will charge usage-based fees on top of subscriptions for Claude Fable 5. Rates match API pricing: $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output. This is the first time a frontier AI lab has applied usage-based billing to a consumer model.
