Anthropic to charge usage-based fees for Claude Fable 5

Starting July 12, Anthropic will charge subscribers to its $20-$200/month plans additional usage-based fees for Claude Fable 5: $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens. This is the first time a frontier AI lab has gated a consumer model behind usage-based billing, potentially raising monthly costs for heavy users.
