Thinking Machines Lab releases Inkling, a 975B open-weight multimodal model

The 975-billion-parameter open-weight model supports text, audio, and image inputs with controllable reasoning effort. It introduces architectural innovations like query-conditioned relative attention and a shared expert sink, and was used by the lab to fine-tune itself.
