Anthropic restores Claude Fable 5 globally after US lifts export controls

The U.S. Commerce Department lifted export controls on Fable 5 on June 30, and Anthropic restored global access on July 1. The controls were triggered by an Amazon-discovered jailbreak; Anthropic trained a new classifier blocking the technique over 99% of the time. Fable 5 is available up to 50% of weekly usage limits through July 7, with Mythos 5 restored to select US organizations.
