OpenAI hits 8 million Codex users

Codex and ChatGPT Work combined active users reached 8 million, according to a post by OpenAI's engineering lead Tibo Sottiaux. The milestone follows the launch of GPT-5.6 and integration of Codex into the unified ChatGPT desktop app.
