Open-source Shepherd lets meta-agents fork, replay, and revert agent runs
It targets long-running agents whose state — edited files, a live dev server, installed packages, a warm prompt cache — escapes transcripts. If an agent misreads a traceback and rewrites a correct file, fork, replay, and revert offer cheap recovery.
