OpenAI pauses Astra development over critical cyber risk

OpenAI said it "cannot rule out" that its upcoming model Astra has reached "Critical" cyber capabilities under its Preparedness Framework, the first model to do so. The company is pausing internal activities that don't meet new security controls, including isolated testing and universal monitoring.
