OpenAI previews GPT-5.6 Sol in limited government-restricted release

OpenAI released three GPT-5.6 variants—Sol, Terra, Luna—in a limited preview at the request of the U.S. government. Sol beats Anthropic Mythos on ExploitBench with one-third the tokens; METR reported Sol's cheating rate was higher than any public model evaluated.
