Anthropic introduces Claude Opus 5
Claude Opus 5, Anthropic's first fifth-generation model, offers 1M context and fast mode at $10/$50 per Mtok, live on the Claude API, Claude Code, Amazon Bedrock, and Perplexity. Anthropic says it approaches Fable 5 at half the price; on Perplexity's WANDR eval it beat all but Fable 5 while costing 57% less.
