Alibaba releases Qwen3.8-Max, a 2.4T-parameter flagship

Alibaba's Qwen3.8-Max is a 2.4-trillion-parameter MoE multimodal model with 1M token context. It scores 56 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index at $1.14 per task, trailing open-weights leader Kimi K3 by 1 point at 25% lower cost. Alibaba claims it outperforms GPT-5.6 Sol Max and Fable 5 on agentic computer use.
