Anthropic restores Claude Fable 5 after US lifts export controls

The US Commerce Department lifted export controls on June 30, allowing Anthropic to restore Claude Fable 5 globally on July 1. Anthropic added a new safety classifier blocking the jailbreak technique that triggered the controls in over 99% of attempts, though some routine coding tasks may be affected. Fable 5 is available for up to 50% of weekly usage limits through July 7, then via usage credits.
