Study: terminal denoising step can hurt diffusion forecasters
ArXiv paper from Nguyen-Cong, Tran and Kieu challenges the assumption that iterative diffusion sampling uniformly improves time series forecasts, isolating the terminal denoising step as a source of degradation. The extended version (arXiv:2608.14067) targets forecasting workflows where uncertainty modeling is central.
