Spotify expands AI remix and covers project with Merlin partnership
Merlin's network of more than 30,000 independent labels and distributors joins Universal Music Group in backing Spotify's AI-powered fan covers and remixes product. The paid add-on, planned as a research preview for a subset of users, promises consent, credit, and compensation for participating artists.
