New AI frameworks detect dengue-infected mosquitoes from video

Two arXiv preprints from the same group propose AI methods — a Vision Transformer + GRU hybrid and a multimodal NLU approach — to identify dengue-infected mosquitoes from locomotion video. Both target the challenge of small, fast-moving insects in complex backgrounds and lighting.
