Microsoft restricts Claude Fable 5 for employees over data retention concerns

Microsoft has limited internal employee use of Anthropic's Claude Fable 5 due to new data retention requirements that retain prompts and outputs for 30 days. The model remains available to GitHub Copilot and Foundry customers, but Microsoft's legal teams are evaluating whether to clear it for internal use.
