Trump: AI 'bigger than the internet,' as he pushes light-touch regulation

Speaking at a White House gathering with crypto executives and financial regulators ahead of the CFTC's first Innovation Advisory Committee meeting, Trump said the U.S. is far ahead of China in AI and defended data-center power use, calling the grid 'old and tired and weak.' AI is expected on the agenda when Xi Jinping visits September 24.
