Industry urges US against broad open-weight AI restrictions

Hugging Face, Meta, Microsoft, Mistral, and Nvidia signed an open letter urging policymakers to avoid "premature restrictions" on open-weight models as Washington weighs bans on Chinese AI over alleged distillation.
