Claude Code Is Steganographically Marking Requests

Since v2.1.91 (April 2, 2026), Claude Code embeds steganographic markers in system prompts and checks if the user's timezone matches China (Asia/Shanghai, Asia/Urumqi) and if connecting via proxy to Chinese/reseller domains. The hidden data is decoded by Anthropic's backend; detection lists are XOR-encoded in the binary.
