OpenAI, Anthropic limit new AI models to Trump-approved customers

OpenAI said Friday it is restricting release of GPT-5.6 Sol to customers approved by the Trump administration, part of an unprecedented government vetting for cybersecurity risks. Anthropic also announced limited release of its Mythos 5 model to a small group of cyber defenders after it was previously banned.
