Claude WebFetch research returned made-up stats, user warns
A Reddit user reports Claude (Opus 5) used WebFetch to research memory architecture and returned detailed stats, percentages, and quotes — much of it fabricated or wrong. The user caught the issue by inspecting WebFetch tool outputs and warned others to verify fetched content.
