Anthropic to charge usage-based fees for Claude Fable 5

Starting July 12, subscribers to Anthropic's $20–$200 monthly plans must pay extra usage fees for Claude Fable 5: $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens. This is the first time a frontier AI lab has gated a consumer model behind usage-based billing.
