Claude Code v2.1.236 adds ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_MODEL and notify_when_idle
Claude Code v2.1.236 adds the ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_MODEL environment variable, which sets the starting model for new sessions and persists across restarts, unlike ANTHROPIC_MODEL. The release also adds notify_when_idle for cross-session SendMessage between sessions on the same machine.
