EU AI Act rules take effect, forcing AI content labels and training-data summaries

EU AI Act transparency rules came into force on 2 August: AI-generated audio, video, and text must carry visible labels and machine-readable watermarks. Article 53 also requires GPAI providers to publish summaries of training data — a rule the music industry may use to force song-list disclosure, building on its German lawsuits against Suno.
