Google advances AMIE to expert-level audio-visual clinical consultations

Google's AMIE research system now conducts real-time video consultations, achieving expert-level performance in a first-of-its-kind randomized controlled study with simulated consultations. The advance adds audio-visual assessment of gait, breathing, and physical exam maneuvers to AMIE's text-based diagnosis, with real-world studies including a feasibility study at Beth Israel Deaconess.
