U.S. orders Anthropic to suspend Fable 5 and Mythos 5 access

Anthropic received a US government export control directive at 5:21pm ET to suspend access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for foreign nationals, citing national security concerns over an alleged jailbreak method. Anthropic says the technique only reveals minor, previously known vulnerabilities that other models can also find, and is working to restore access.
