Anthropic watermarks Claude text to comply with EU AI Act
Anthropic is watermarking Claude outputs using a scheme based on Google's SynthID, with no impact on quality or cost. The change, effective August 2, 2026, complies with the EU AI Act, and other major providers will implement similar watermarks.
