Harbor launches Deploy to counter OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft FDE teams

Darktrace CEO Ed Jennings says autonomous agents with access to sensitive data and infrastructure are becoming a new class of insider threat as companies deploy them rapidly. Darktrace is launching tools to track shadow AI, agent identities and behavior.

ETH Zurich, MATS, and Anthropic researchers matched anonymized Hacker News accounts to real LinkedIn profiles at 90% precision using only web search, embeddings, and reasoning models like GPT-5.2. The attack costs roughly $1 to $4 per target with no hacking or data breach; authors withheld code, prompts, and identities.

In Public Preview, API Gateway acts as a remote MCP server: annotate an existing OpenAPI 3.x spec with x-google-api-management.mcp and REST operations become agent-callable tools, with no separate server to build or host. Existing JWT/API-key auth, quota, and logging apply unchanged, since MCP and REST traffic share one policy path.

Opus 5.5 performs at the level of Claude Fable 5.1 for most tasks, is ~30% faster and ~40% cheaper than Opus 5 per task, with 1M context at $4/$20 per Mtok and $0.20/Mtok cache reads. Input and output token prices dropped 20%, cached token reads 60%.

The notice lets Oracle delay payments if Project Jupiter, a 2.45-gigawatt Stargate campus, misses its 2028 online target. Oracle says the site "remains on our planned schedule"; Blue Owl says financial commitments are unchanged.
