Claude Code 2.1.236 adds the ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_MODEL environment variable, which sets the model new sessions start on, while a /model pick still overrides it and persists across restarts. It also adds notify_when_idle to cross-session SendMessage and fixes several sandbox and renderer bugs.
