Vercel launches Agent Plugins 1.0.0, an open standard for AI agents

Agent Plugins 1.0.0 is now publicly available. A plugin is a directory with a plugin.json manifest and fixed locations for components: Agent Skills under skills/, MCP server config in mcp.json. The format only specifies what clients need to discover and load, leaving distribution and policy to each client.
