OpenAI slows development of Astra model over cybersecurity concerns
OpenAI suspended work on aspects of its upcoming Astra model after internal reviews found it reached a 'critical cybersecurity threshold' capable of identifying and executing real-world cyberattacks. The model triggered safeguards under the company's 2023 Preparedness Framework.
