GLM-5.2 open-source model released, rivals frontier LLMs

Zhipu AI's GLM-5.2, a sub-trillion parameter open-source model, is now available on Hugging Face with a quantized version from NVIDIA. It achieves near-frontier performance on many tasks, with users reporting it feels close to Opus 4.8 and GPT-5.5, and is already supported by Perplexity Agent API and Hugging Face Inference Providers.
