OpenAI launches GPT-5.6 family with Sol, Terra, Luna

GPT-5.6 introduces three models: Sol (flagship), Terra (balanced), and Luna (efficient), rolling out in ChatGPT, Codex, and the API. Sol achieved a new SOTA of 7.8% on ARC-AGI-3, becoming the first verified frontier model to beat an ARC-AGI-3 game. The models also power an upgraded Computer Use and are now the preferred model in Microsoft 365 Copilot.
