US government orders suspension of Anthropic's Fable 5 and Mythos 5
The US government issued an export control directive on June 12, 2026, citing national security, to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5. Anthropic disabled the models for all users to comply, while stating they believe the jailbreak method used was relatively simple and did not pose unique risk.
