Anthropic launches Claude Sonnet 5, its most agentic Sonnet model

Sonnet 5 launches with introductory pricing of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, rising to $3/$15 after August 31. It achieves performance close to Opus 4.8 on agentic tasks and is a substantial improvement over Sonnet 4.6.
