Alibaba Reportedly Plans Revenue-Sharing Terms for Next Qwen Model
Large commercial users of Alibaba's next open-weight Qwen model would pay a revenue share for its use, per IT Home; the percentage is still being negotiated and the plan could be introduced as early as next week. It would extend Alibaba's monetization beyond Alibaba Cloud, where open models run in-house currently incur no model fees.
