OpenAI launches GPT-5.6 with three tiers, Codex integration

GPT-5.6 Sol sets a new SOTA on ARC-AGI-3 at 7.8% and achieves top performance on cybersecurity benchmarks. Sam Altman states Sol is half the price and ~twice as token efficient as Fable for many tasks. The model is available in ChatGPT and Codex with updates including computer use and inline edits.
