Anthropic introduces Claude Opus 5

Claude Opus 5 ships with 1M context and fast-mode pricing at $10/$50 per Mtok. Anthropic says it comes close to Fable 5's intelligence at half the price; Perplexity found it beat all but Fable 5 on WANDR while being 57% cheaper. On the IPI benchmark, attacker success within 15 attempts fell from 5.5% to 2.0% vs Opus 4.8.
