US government suspends Anthropic's Fable 5 and Mythos 5 over national security

The US government issued an export control directive suspending access to Anthropic's Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models for foreign nationals, citing national security. The safe version of Mythos Preview, Fable 5, was jailbroken within days. A legal challenge has been filed, and the EU has held talks with the White House.
