Moonshot AI released Kimi K3, a 2.8-trillion-parameter open-source model scoring 57 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, rivaling Opus 4.8 and GPT-5.5. Open weights are expected on July 27; it costs $0.94 per task, half the price of Opus 4.8 but with a higher hallucination rate of 51%.
