Researchers found encrypted reasoning blocks are interchangeable across sessions, users, and models within a provider's ecosystem, letting a weaker model decode a stronger one's chain-of-thought. Decoding 315,320 scraped reasoning blocks recovered 367 PII artifacts and 182 credentials.
