Claude Code 2.1.236 adds ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_MODEL
Adds ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_MODEL env var to set the model new sessions start on, with /model overriding and persisting. Also adds notify_when_idle to cross-session SendMessage and fixes macOS sandbox wildcard read-deny precedence.
