26 companies — including NVIDIA, Microsoft, Meta, Google, OpenAI, Palantir, a16z, and Y Combinator — signed the "Open Weights and American AI Leadership" letter urging Congress to keep open-weight AI models available. a16z organized the letter; Anthropic has so far declined to sign.
