State-backed investors in Hangzhou and its Linping district put in hundreds of millions of RMB; 01.AI will base its headquarters in Linping and build an enterprise AI adoption base. The company stopped model trials and API services in September and now customizes DeepSeek, Qwen and GLM for businesses, with about half its revenue from outside China.
