Introducing Claude Sonnet 5

Claude Sonnet 5 launches with introductory pricing of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens through August 31, 2026. It is close to Opus 4.8 performance at lower cost and shows improved safety over Sonnet 4.6. The model is available now on all plans and the Claude API.
