Alibaba reportedly plans revenue sharing for next Qwen model

Under the reported plan, large commercial users of the next open-weight Qwen model would pay Alibaba a share of revenue generated from its use; it could be introduced as early as next week, though the percentage is still being negotiated. Currently, customers running most Qwen open models in their own data centers generally pay no model fees.
