US orders suspension of Anthropic's Fable 5, Mythos 5

Anthropic received a US government export control directive on June 12, 2026, citing national security, forcing suspension of Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all customers. The directive targets access by any foreign national and does not affect other models. Anthropic stated its models' safeguards were extensively tested and no universal jailbreak was found.
