Anthropic introduces Claude Opus 5

Claude Opus 5 launches with 1M context and is available today on the Claude API, Claude Code, and Amazon Bedrock, with fast mode at $10/$50 per Mtok. Anthropic says it approaches Fable 5's intelligence at half the price; Perplexity measured it 57% cheaper on WANDR, and Anthropic says it improved prompt-injection robustness over Opus 4.8.
